Overview

This priority ensures that the LAs in the region are supported through the successful implementation of national reforms in Children’s Services. Local Authorities are expected to have a strong understanding of the updated guidelines and expectations. This includes being well-informed through structured learning from pathfinder areas, where early implementation has provided valuable insights and tested approaches. By sharing best practices, challenges, and solutions from these pathfinders, LAs can build confidence and capacity to deliver reforms effectively and consistently.

This priority is driven through enhanced communication, training, and peer learning networks, ensuring that LAs are equipped to interpret and apply reforms in ways that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families. The goal is to ensure that every LA is not only aware of the reforms but actively engaged in shaping and delivering them with impact.
