Overview
This key priority is to deepen the region's understanding of the needs and outcomes of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) to strengthen joint working across services. It includes engaging strategic partners more effectively and fostering collaboration around placement provision—both in terms of capacity and quality. By aligning efforts in shared training, initial reception protocols, and age assessment arrangements, we can ensure a more consistent and responsive approach that meets the complex needs of UASC and supports better long-term outcomes. The workstreams under this priority are delivered by East Midlands Councils.
